Excellent

Along with fine fruit and a firm core, the wines in this vintage are defined by clarity, all of which made for an excellent combination of freshness and boldness that matches their elegance.

Weather patterns: After another dry winter, a cool and rather damp May led to slow growth through spring. Both heat and drought followed in June and July, until we finally got a break in August with some water, along with very cool nights.

Splendid fall weather allowed the grapes to ripen slowly and soundly. Stable harvest weather with fresh and cool nightly temperatures allowed sugar levels to rise and thus the acidity remained fresh and lively.

Exceptional is just the word here for bright fruit in high concentration, combined with freshness. We rarely been able to achieve such a great vintage as this.
